Club Rotario San Pedro Sula
Entré al Club Rotario San Pedro Sula en 2020 con una clasificación de ejecutivo de negocios y empresario. Además, soy escritor y editor, por lo que rápidamente encontré un lugar en el Comité de Imagen Pública ayudando con los textos y las publicaciones. No pasó mucho tiempo antes de que me invitaran a escribir para la revista Rotary en el Corazón de las Américas, cuya labor me ha ayudado a conocer más sobre Rotary.
Sin embargo, como autor de novelas y cuentos también buscaba un espacio propio, y lo encontré en el Rotary Fellowship of Authors. La agrupación se organizó en 2024 y fue aprobada por Rotary International. Yo me uní a finales de ese año y descubrí las reuniones virtuales que realizan mensualmente, en las que se invita a un autor para conversar sobre su trayectoria y su trabajo.
El plan para los primeros dos años es reunir autores y escritores que sean socios rotarios de cualquier parte del mundo e involucrar a las nuevas generaciones. He tenido la oportunidad de conocer de cerca a autores de varios países en prácticamente los cinco continentes.
El pasado junio tuve la oportunidad de exponer sobre el tema «Escribiendo entre culturas». He participado y recibir el reconocimiento fue un gran honor.

I joined the Rotary Club of San Pedro Sula in 2020, with the classification of Business Executive and Entrepreneur. However, I’m also a writer and editor, so I quickly found a place on the Public Image Committee, helping with the writing and publications. It wasn’t long before I gravitated toward the magazine Rotary in the Heart of the Americas, which has helped me learn more about Rotary.
However, as an author of novels and short stories, I also longed for a space to be among peers, and I found it in the Rotary Fellowship of Authors (RFA). The group was organized in 2024 and approved by Rotary International. I joined near the end of that year and discovered the monthly virtual meetings where authors are invited to discuss their journey and work. The plan for the first two years is to bring together authors and writers who are Rotary members from all over the world, as well as to involve the next generation. I’ve had the opportunity to meet authors from various countries, practically on all five continents.
Last June I had the opportunity to speak on the topic of “Straddling two cultures,” and it was a great honor to receive the recognition and to have been able to participate.
